Sarah Chaker (Dr. phil.) studierte Musik in den Massenmedien und Germanistik an der Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg und promovierte ebendort im Fach Musik zum Umgang von Black- und Death-Metal-Anhänger*innen mit ihrer Musik. Derzeit arbeitet sie als Assistenzprofessorin am Institut für Musiksoziologie der mdw - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen das Feld der Straßenmusik, Möglichkeiten und Grenzen transdisziplinärer Analysen von Musik, Geschichte, Theorien und Methoden der Musiksoziologie, populäre Musiken (insbesondere Metal) und Musikvermittlung. Jakob Schermann studiert Musikwissenschaft an der Universität Wien und war als Studienassistent am Institut für Musikwissenschaft und Interpretationsforschung der mdw - Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien tätig.
