Andrés Sánchez Magro nació azarosamente en la paterna judería toledana pero por destino y designio se considera gato. Adora el Chamberí donde nació su madre y lleva cosida muy dentro una ciudad que es laberinto de ilusiones tabernarias. Ha estudiado varias carreras universitarias, y le han conseguido licenciar en alguna que otra, habiéndose dedicado en las últimas décadas al ejercicio de la Judicatura. 'Gato' de varias pieles, ha sido también editor, letrado parlamentario, crítico literario, agitador gastronómico y del vino, y periodista de vocación desde los quince años.
