The Beginning of Captain Singh
Betrayed by his own. Forged by vengeance. Destined for legend.
Kunwar Singh was a warrior, a leader, a man on the brink of greatness—until treachery shattered his world. Framed for treason, torn from his love, and cast into the depths of Chunar Fort, he was meant to die forgotten.
But the fire within him refused to fade.
From the shadows of prison to the wealth and power of Calcutta's elite, Kunwar Singh is reborn as Captain Singh, a mysterious nobleman whose influence shakes the foundations of British India. With patience and precision, he begins his game of retribution—bringing ruin to those who betrayed him. One by one, his enemies fall: the corrupt banker, the treacherous magistrate, and the ruthless warlord Firangi Mallik, the man who stole his love and ruled through terror.
But vengeance is a double-edged sword. As the final battle looms over Rajgarh, Captain Singh must face the truth—will justice bring him peace, or has he become the very monster he swore to destroy?
A tale of betrayal, redemption, and the rise of a legend, The Beginning of Captain Singh is an epic saga of love, loss, and the unyielding pursuit of justice in colonial India.
I never set out to become a writer. I was just someone who loved stories — the kind that stay with you long after the last page, the kind that make you feel like you've lived someone else's life for a while. Somewhere along the way, that love turned into a need to tell stories of my own.
I grew up listening to tales of warriors and wanderers, of lost empires and quiet acts of rebellion. But as I got older, I realized how many of those stories had been forgotten — buried under dust, or worse, rewritten. That's how The Captain Singh Saga was born: out of a desire to bring those voices back, even if in a new form, through fiction.
At its heart, Captain Singh is a story about conflict — not just war, but the kind that lives inside a person. Loyalty vs betrayal. Honor vs survival. Memory vs truth. I wanted to explore what it means to be brave when the world won't make space for you to be anything else.
Before this, I spent years working in the digital space, helping people find their footing online. It taught me how to build things — strategies, structures, systems. But fiction? Fiction taught me how to feel again. Writing these books has been equal parts exorcism and love letter: to history, to storytelling, and to everyone who's ever looked at the past and wondered what really happened.
Now, I write full-time — building out the Captain Singh universe one book, one side character, one secret at a time. My goal isn't just to entertain (though I hope the books do that too), but to create something readers can sink into — something textured, rich, and human.
When I'm not writing, I'm usually wandering through ruins, sketching maps that will probably never make it into the books, or reading way too much about the 1800s. I don't have all the answers, but I do have questions. And sometimes, those are enough to start a story.
If you've read the books or are thinking of starting — thank you. Truly. Stories don't exist without someone to receive them. I'm glad you're here.
