Max Slevogt (1868-1932), German Impressionist. Along with his paintings, in which he primarily captured the atmosphere and light in soft brushstrokes, he was also one of the most influential illustrators of his time. Bruno Cassirer (1872-1941), Berlin's most significant publisher and the main promoter of Impressionism. He was the founder of the magazine "Kunst und Künstler", which was one of the central art magazines in Germany. Karoline Feulner is head of the Department of Paintings and Sculpture at the Landesmuseum Mainz. Max Slevogt is the focus of her research. She has organized numerous exhibitions and publications on the German Impressionist.
