Es la autora de El Símbolo católico indiano (1598) de Jerónimo de Oré saberes coloniales y los problemas de la evangelización en la región andina (2018). Sus publicaciones aparecen en diversos volúmenes editados y en revistas académicas como Colonial Latin American Review, Latin American Theater Review, Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispánicos, Latin American Literary Review, Symposium, Revista Iberoamericana, y otros. Catalina Andrango-Walker is Associate Professor of Spanish at Virginia Tech. Her research addresses constructions of race, gender, class, and identity in the Andean region during the colonial period. She obtained her Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
She is the author of Símbolo católico indiano (1598) de Jerónimo de Oré saberes coloniales y los problemas de la evangelización en la región andina (2018). Her work appears in several collected volumes and journals such as Colonial Latin American Review, Latin American Theater Review, Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispánicos, Latin American Literary Review, Symposium, Revista Iberoamericana, among others. Her research has been funded by a number of institutions, including the NEH Summer Institute at the Newberry Library, John Carter Brown Library, The Mendel Fellowship at the Lilly Library, and Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection.
