Sarah Maycock explores the meaning of family through a collection of animal similes and poetic prose, imagined with sublime watercolour illustrations that perfectly capture the special bonds we all share.

Sarah studied Illustration at Kingston University and in 2011 was
selected as an It's Nice That Graduate. Notably, in 2018, she was commissioned to create a series of illustrations for London Natural History Museum's 2018 Whales exhibition. She trained herself to draw
animals from nature documentaries. Her unique ability to capture a creature's characteristics or the forces of nature in just a few swoops of
ink is incomparable and truly impressive. Sarah's book Sometimes I Feel... won the ALCS Educational Writers' Award in 2021. Sarah lives in Hastings, UK.
