In today's world the fanaticism of globalization in the secular world and ecumenism in the religious world, is visible in the way that the leaders of political and religious parties, speak and act in both private and open meetings, conferences, synods, and so on. They have forgotten that the culture of any society is the depository of a nation's history, and its development. Religion is one of the key depositories of any society as displayed by the individual faiths. This book, reviews some key concepts from the Fathers of the Church as they speak from the Eastern Orthodox perspective.
Diomidis H. Stamatis was born in the "village of pigeons," as Homer calls Thisbe, Thebes, Prefecture of Boeotia (Iliad, Book II). He finished elementary school in his village and 4 years of high school in Domvraina, Thebes. In 1963, together with his mother Venetia, they immigrated to a suburb of Detroit - Wyandotte - in Michigan, USA, where they met the father and husband Haralambo, after eight years of separation. He finished high school there and enrolled at Wayne State University on a scholarship, studying Chemical Engineering and Marketing and graduating in 1975. He continued his studies at Central Michigan University while simultaneously working for one of the largest steel manufacturing companies - National Steel Corporation. He graduated with an MBA and Econometrics degree with special recognition in Mathematical /Financial Economics. After receiving his Masters, he continued to work in the steel factory, but at the same time began teaching at small colleges and universities in the area. After a year he enrolled at Wayne State University for doctoral studies. Completed PH.D. with honors in Technical Studies, Business Studies and Industrial Statistics. He continued to work at the factory, but also began teaching at Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan. For two years he taught at these two universities and simultaneously worked at the steel factory.
After twenty-two years in the steel industry and teaching at various universities, he left the steel industry to take a position at Eastern Michigan University and the University of Michigan in the College of Engineering and Business Administration. He taught Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Management, Ethics in Management and Educational Technology for ten years. Subsequently, he quit teaching to become a quality consultant in the global market, starting his own company. In 2011 he was invited by the third largest university in China (ANHUI, Bengbu China) to teach Statistics, and Quality for industrial companies, with emphasis on Economics and special methodologies (SPC, FMEA, 6-sigma and PPAP and general problem solving.
For forty years as a quality, statistical and reliability consultant he had the opportunity to advise many private and public enterprises around the world. His occupation forced him to travel a lot, having visited eighty-five countries. He has been around the world five times. He has written in English many articles, and books in his field of science, while he has also given many speeches not only in the USA, but also in world conferences dealing with quality, statistics, and reliability. At the same time, he is a graduate of Byzantine music from the Glyfada Conservatory - a cantor degree and a Music Teacher's diploma for Byzantine Music. From 1996 to 2021 was the Protopsaltis (Cantor) at the Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Metropolis of Detroit, Michigan).
He taught Catechism for fourteen years and was a member of the Educational Committee of the Metropolis, a representative of his parish on the
