"Clever, satisfying, and silly, this is Each Peach Pear Plum for a new generation." The Bookseller "Teaches that things aren't necessarily what they seem and encourages little fingers to explore. It's a beautifully illustrated book to treasure." Daily Mail
This deceptively simple picture-book by father-and-son duo Dan and Finn Ojari uses bold, stylish art, rhyming call-and-response text, and clever cut-through holes that play with shape and colour to create a deeply satisfying read-aloud experience for children of two and up and their adults. Through the hole in the page, you might see a plum . . . or a spider . . . or a spoon. But turn the page to see the full picture and - SURPRISE! - it's something unexpected: the moon, a tiger, even a hippo's bum! A delightfully clever picture book full of visual tricks and rhyming reveals to inspire wonder while making you chuckle.
Dan Ojari is an Oscar-nominated director and writer, alongside making children's books and the occasional wooden spoon. As a boy, his mum home-educated him and his four siblings, which meant he could spend a lot of time drawing and dreaming. Dan now lives in Bristol, working at Aardman Animations by day and by night is often reading a book with his wife, two sons and identical black cats.
