The touring exhibition is made possible by the Essen-based Brost Foundation. Dieter Nuhr offenbart in seinen Bildern eine stille, zugleich eindringliche Sicht auf die Welt. Seine Arbeiten vereinen Fotografie, Malerei und Zeichnung auf einzigartige Weise. Mit offenem Blick erkundet Dieter Nuhr die Welt. Sein Interesse gilt dem Besonderen und oftmals Übersehenen. Vom Ruhrgebiet aus, seiner Heimat, spannt sich sein Blick über Kontinente und Kulturen. Die Wanderausstellung wird von der in Essen ansässigen Brost-Stiftung ermöglicht.

Dieter Nuhr is a visual artist. After studying art with a focus on painting, he now dedicates himself to conceptual photography. He travels the world, documenting remote and unconventional environments and transforming them into images. His photographs offer an often-melancholic perspective on the enigmatic nature of existence. Outside of his work as a visual artist, Nuhr is also one of Germany's most famous satirists.
