Faye's Lanterns tells the heartwarming story of a Chinese-Canadian girl named Faye who moves with her parents from a vibrant, multicultural city to a quiet rural town. Feeling homesick for the foods, friends, and lively experiences of her old home, Faye struggles to find her place in this new environment. But when a special package arrives from her Nǎinai, Faye discovers a creative way to share her culture with her neighbours, helping her embrace her new community.
This delightful tale encourages readers to celebrate their unique identities while fostering connections in their neighbourhoods. Faye's Lanterns explores themes of culture and citizenship, nurturing empathy and inspiring children to make positive changes in their own spaces.
