Questa edizione è curata da Domenico Carbone, che ha raccolto e trascritto i testi, e corredata da note e un'introduzione di Franco Sacchetti. Le storie spaziano dalla commedia alla tragedia, dal realismo all'allegoria, e forniscono un'importante testimonianza del costume e della vita quotidiana del tempo.
