G?MINI SALG?DO was formerly Professor of English at Exeter University. His work on Lawrence developed while reading for a doctorate at Nottingham, the novelist's own university. He has published a book on Sons and Lovers (Studies in English Literature, Arnold) and edited an anthology of criticism of it (Macmillan Casebooks ). In addition he has published a number of editions and other studies of drama and prose literature, most recently English Drama: A Critical Introduction (Arnold).
