Gender and Development in Nigeria

This volume examines Nigerian policy experiences across the pre-colonial, colonial, and post-colonial eras. The focus is on gender issues in economic planning policies and productive sector policies including agriculture, entrepreneurship, and information and communication technologies.

Funmi Soetan is professor of economics at Obafemi Awolowo University. Bola Akanji is retired research professor in the Economic Policy Management Division, Nigerian Institute of Social and Economic Research (NISER) and adjunct professor at University of Connecticut.
