This book examines Italy's colonial history from the turn of the twentieth century to the outbreak of the First World War.

Giuseppe Finaldi teaches European history at the University of Western Australia. He has published widely on modern Italy. A History of Italian Colonialism, 1860-1907: Europe's Last Empire (2017) is the first instalment of his multivolume study of Italy's little-known colonial history.
