Food and drink are, without a doubt, fundamental characters in great literature. Open a book of fables or peek, for example, at the temptation of Eve, the pepper that runs through Marco Polo, or Don Quixote and his hams and garbanzos. This book details the relationship classic literature has with food and drinking.

Héctor Zagal graduated in philosophy from the Pan-American University, has a master's from UNAM, and a doctorate from the University of Navarra. He belongs to the National System of Researchers in Mexico.
