Das Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France unter Leitung von Ludwig Wicki und Bastien Stil spielt die Orchesterwerke, Le Balcon unter Mike Schäperclaus die Kammermusik. Die Deluxe-Vinyl-Edition bietet zusätzlich das ganze Repertoire des Albums auf drei Picture Discs mit Bildern zu den Filmen. Die Texte des aufwendig gestalteten LP-Gatefolds sind in Englisch und Tolkiens Sindarin verfasst.
