Medium-Sized Cities in the Age of Globalisation

Medium-Sized cities in the Age of Globalisation provides a brand-new perspective on academic discussions of globalisation through exploring urban development outside of select global cities including Paris, Tokyo, and London, and instead focuses on medium-sized cities in the context of a globalising world.

Inès Hassen-Dakhli is an Honorary Visiting Fellow at the University of Leicester, where she previously taught History and French Studies. She has a PhD in Urban History and her main research interest is in the relationship between globalisation and the urban world. Her recent publications include 'Deflecting National Ideologies: Exploring Identity Management Trajectories of Medium-Sized Cities' in Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space (2021).
