Perfidia

PERFIDIA is a grand drama set in Los Angeles during the first month of America's entry into the war, and is the first volume in Ellroy's 'Second L.A. Quartet'. Transpiring within only 24 days - December 6, 1941 through to New Year's Eve - it is a crime novel, a war novel and a historic romance, taking place in real-time and starring characters both real and fictional.

James Ellroy was born in Los Angeles. He is the author of the Underworld U.S.A Trilogy: American Tabloid, The Cold Six Thousand, and Blood's A Rover, and the L.A. Quartet novels: The Black Dahlia, The Big Nowhere, L.A. Confidential, and White Jazz. He is the recipient of the Los Angeles Times Robert Kirsch Award for lifetime achievement. He lives in Colorado.
