Jeff Silverman, a former columnist for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, has written for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and several national magazines including, most recently, Sports Illustrated. He teaches a course on the literature of sports at Villanova University and lives in West Chester, PA.
