Sylvain Chavanel participated in eighteen editions of the Tour de France, from 2000 to 2018. No cyclist has raced more. The following year, Jesús Gómez Peña received a tribute from the Tour organization for twenty editions covering the race as an accredited journalist. In 2023, when the Tour left Bilbao, his newspaper El Correo entrusted Jesús to bring the history of the Tour de France to its readers. Now, we recover and publish in a single book the fruit of all that work. A hundred articles that draw a personal journey through the history of the Tour. A comprehensive tour through its 120 years of history, which will take us from the first edition in 1903 to the present day. Jesús Gómez Peña, Barakaldo (Bizkaia), 1965. Licenciado en Ciencias de la Información (Periodismo) en la Universidad del País Vasco. Comenzó en Radio Euskadi, en la sección de Deportes. Tras realizar el Máster de El Correo, se incorporó al periódico en 1995 y tras pasar por diferentes secciones, en 1999 regresó a Deportes, ya encargado de la información sobre el ciclismo. Ese mismo año cubrió por primera vez el Tour, el primero que ganó Lance Armstrong. Desde entonces ha estado en casi todas las ediciones del Tour y de la Vuelta, y en siete Giros de Italia. También ha acudido a cuatro JJOO, además de otras carreras ciclistas como el Dauphiné, la Volta, la Vuelta al País Vasco, la Semana Catalana y varias ediciones del Mundial.
