Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas

On the hunt for a terrifying sea monster, Professor Pierre Aronnax, his faithful servant Conseil and the harpooner Ned Land go overboard the Abraham Lincoln. They are rescued by an impressive submarine, the Nautilus, and are well received by Captain Nemo. But they are bound to him and his crew and cannot return to civilization. In less than ten months, they travel 20,000 miles under the sea on a round-the-world voyage and discover many wonders, such as a sunken city, and experience numerous adventures. Jules Gabriel Verne; 8 February 1828 - 24 March 1905 was a French novelist, poet, and playwright. His collaboration with the publisher Pierre-Jules Hetzel led to the creation of the Voyages extraordinaires, a series of bestselling adventure novels including Journey to the Center of the Earth (1864), Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas (1870), and Around the World in Eighty Days (1872).
