Ce livre vise à éclairer le raisonnement d'un grammairien du Xe siècle, Ibn Ǧinnī, à partir de son oeuvre majeure: al-Ḫaṣāʾiṣ. Il étudie la manière dont Ibn Ǧinnī cherche à systématiser le raisonnement explicatif grammatical et tente de mettre en évidence l'approche diachronique de la langue arabe adoptée par Ibn Ǧinnī pour expliquer les anomalies (sawāḏḏ) du système linguistique, en recourant notamment aux notions de qiyās(analogie) et d'istiʿmāl (usage).
This book aims to shed light on the reasoning of a 10th-century grammarian, Ibn Ǧinnī, based on his major work: al-Ḫaṣāʾiṣ. He studies the way Ibn Ǧinnī seeks to systematize grammatical explanatory reasoning and attempts to highlight the diachronic approach to the Arabic language adopted by Ibn Ǧinnī in order to explain anomalies (sawāḏḏ) in the language system, resorting in particular to the notions of qiyās (analogy) and istiʿmāl (usage).
