Karina Pacheco (Cusco, 1969) es una de las autoras más reconocidas de la literatura peruana contemporánea. Doctora en Antropología por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, ha publicado siete novelas aclamadas: La voluntad del molle (2006), No olvides nuestros nombres (2009), La sangre, el polvo, la nieve (2010), Cabeza y orquídeas (2012), El bosque de tu nombre (2013), Las orillas del aire (2017) y El año del viento (2021), esta última ganadora del Premio Nacional de Literatura. También ha publicado los libros de cuentos Alma alga (2010), El sendero de los rayos (2013) y Lluvia (2018). A la par de su labor literaria y académica, Karina Pacheco se desempeña como directora de Ceques Editores, una editorial independiente especializada en historia, antropología y literatura. Dedica su tiempo libre al montañismo.
