Born and raised in Lake Providence, Louisiana, Kizzie Hickman developed a passion for storytelling at a young age, inspired by the rich tapestry of family stories and the vibrant traditions of their community.
Kizzie Hickman pursued their passion for writing, focusing on creating narratives that center the experiences of young Black women while exploring themes of identity, empowerment, and the power of legacy. Kizzie's work aims to challenge traditional narratives and offer fresh perspectives on the intersection of history, magic, and coming-of-age experiences.
