The Chaldean Catholic Church

This book provides a history of the Chaldean Catholic Church from its origins as a numerically minor faction of the East Syriac Christian tradition (Church of the East) in northern Mesopotamia in the sixteenth century through to its modern status as a significant religious, social, economic and cultural contributor to Iraqi life.

Kristian Girling is currently a freelance researcher and writer. He was a Visiting Fellow at Boston College's School of Theology and Ministry from 2016-2017. He completed his PhD at the Centre for Eastern Christianity, Heythrop College in 2016. Kristian's research focuses on the modern history of Eastern Christianity particularly in the Middle East.
