Chris Kassar is a conservation biologist, guide, and writer. She has scaled peaks and run rivers all over the United States and in Nepal, Kenya, Tanzania, Thailand, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Iceland. Working as Senior Editor of ElevationOutdoors Magazine, she is also a freelance writer with works printed in Climbing, Mother Jones, National Geographic Adventure, Outside Online, WEND, and Women’s Adventure Magazine.
