Marcos Chicot (Madrid, 1971) es licenciado en Psicología Clínica, Psicología Laboral y Económicas. Está casado y tiene dos hijos. Tiene en su haber tres novelas publicadas: El asesinato de Pitágoras, La Hermandad y Diario de Gordon. A lo largo de su carrera literaria ha ganado el Premio de Novela Francisco Umbral, el Premio Rotary Internacional de Novela y, con El asesinato de Pitágoras, obtuvo el Premio per la Cultura Mediterranea 2015 a la mejor novela publicada en Italia. Por este mismo título, la ciudad de Crotona le ha otorgado la distinción Encomio Solenne, y en formato digital ha sido la novela en español más vendida del mundo en el período 2013-2016. En los últimos años ha ampliado su producción literaria con títulos como El asesinato de Sócrates, finalista del Premio Planeta 2016, y El asesinato de Platón, consolidando su prestigio como autor de novela histórica con gran éxito internacional.
