Before the world was connected by screens, he learned that every neighborhood had its legends, every family had its secrets, and every person carried a story waiting to be told.The son of immigrants, Mariano was shaped by two cultures and a border where Mexico and the United States blended together in everyday life. He grew up with mariachi in the air, tortillas on the stove, and imagination as a passport to anywhere. Those early experiences continue to influence his writing, whether he is exploring the dusty streets of a small town or the distant reaches of the universe.Known as an Engineer of Learning, husband, father, musician, cook, and lifelong tinkerer, Mariano has spent his life creating, building, and searching for the stories hidden beneath the surface.
