Martin McLoone is Professor of Media Studies (Film, Television and Photography) in the Centre for Media Research at the University of Ulster, Coleraine. He has written extensively on all aspects of the media in Ireland and Britain (including radio and popular music) and was the co-organiser of the 'Re-imagining Ireland' conference held in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2003.
