Michael Linder, writing as Merv Straus, is an author from Elgin, Illinois. At 17, he volunteered for military service, serving in Korea. He utilized the GI Bill to graduate as a Rho Chi Scholar with dual degrees in Pharmacy from North Dakota State University. In 1967, he met his wife, Pat, and embarked on a distinguished career with the Veteran's Administration, ultimately serving as Director of the VA Medical Center in Wilkies-Barrie, Pennsylvania.
