Beschreibung

The book introduces the age of intra-African migration, a period from the 19th century onwards in which the centre of gravity of African migration moved decisively inwards. With a historical and continent-wide perspective, the book explores the distinctions between the more immediate drivers of migration and deeper patterns over time.
