Este libro es como el de matemáticas: las respuestas están en la mente del lector. Este libro no es de matemáticas, pero tiene problemas: la invasión de una nube, el robo de una voz, la llegada de una hermanita, la angustia del fin del mundo, un camión bajo la mesa, la misión casi imposible de subirse a un tren que ya partió, la leche más asquerosa del mundo y, finalmente, la despedida de la infancia. Y, como en el libro de matemáticas, la solución de los problemas se esconde en la imaginación de quien los lee. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION This book is like the math book: the answers are in the reader's mind. This book is not about mathematics, but it has problems: the invasion of a cloud, the theft of a voice, the arrival of a little sister, the anguish of the end of the world, a truck under the table, the almost impossible mission of getting on a train that has already departed, the most disgusting milk in the world and, finally, the farewell to childhood. And, as in the mathematics book, the solution to the problems is hidden in the imagination of the reader.

Mónica Lavín es autora de libros de cuentos, novela y ensayo. Ha sido Premio Nacional de Literatura Gilberto Owen por el libro de cuentos Ruby Tuesday no ha muerto, Premio Narrativa de Colima por su novela Café cortado, Premio Iberoamericano de Novela Elena Poniatowska por Yo, la peor, sobre Sor Juana y su tiempo. Sus publicaciones más recientes son: la antología de cuentos -A qué volver? (Tusquets, 2018), las novelas Todo sobre nosotras (Planeta, 2019), Últimos días de mis padres (Planeta, 2022) y Tonada de un viejo amor (Melody of an old love) (Planeta,2023) . Escribió el libreto para una ópera sobre Sor Juana: La sed de los cometas, que se estrenó en septiembre de 2022. Es columnista en la sección cultural de El Universal, profesora e investigadora en la Academia de Creación Literaria de la Universidad Autónoma de la Ciudad de México, Maestra Universitaria Distinguida por la Universidad de Colima y miembro del Sistema Nacional de Creadores. Mónica Lavín is the author of books of short stories, novels and essays. He has been awarded the Gilberto Owen National Prize for Literature for the book of short stories Ruby Tuesday no ha muerto (Ruby Tuesday has not died), the Colima Narrative Prize for his novel Café cortado (cortado coffe), and the Elena Poniatowska Ibero-American Novel Prize for Yo, la peor (Me, the worst), about Sor Juana and her time. His most recent publications are: the anthology of short stories -A qué volver? (What to come back to?) (Tusquets, 2018), the novels Todo sobre nosotras (All About Us) (Planeta, 2019), Últimos días de mis padres (Last Days of My Parents) (Planeta, 2022)and Tonada de un viejo amor (Melody of an old love) (Planeta,2023). He wrote the libretto for an opera about Sor Juana: La sed de los cometas (The Thirst of the Comets), which premiered in September 2022. She is a columnist in the cultural section of El Universal, a professor and researcher at the Academy of Literary Creation of the Autonomous University of Mexico City, and a distinguished university teacher from the University of Colima and member of the National System of Creators.
