Nausheen Jaffrey (1972-2004) was a historian trained at the University of Delhi and Jamia Millia Islamia. The present book is an edited, updated version of her MPhil dissertation, a biographical sketch of the Mughal princess Jahan Ara, which was first published in 2011.
