A widower's quest to honor his wife's last wish unearths a lifetime of secrets. When actress Alma Joncas asks her husband to bury her ashes where she was happiest, Doctor Maras assumes it's their garden. But as relatives and friends share their memories, he begins to question if he truly knew his wife of twenty-four years. Was it in Paris, where she tasted early success? Or perhaps in her childhood home? As Doctor Maras searches for the truth, he confronts not only Alma's past but also his own assumptions about love, loss, and the complexities of a life lived in the spotlight. For readers of literary fiction exploring grief, memory, and the intricacies of marriage.
