This volume elucidates the theoretical background and fundamental properties of luminescence as applied to solid-state phosphor materials. New features include the rapid developments in principal phosphors in nitrides, perovskite, and silicon carbide, and a new chapter of organic phosphors.

Ru-Shi Liu is a Distinguished Professor at the Department of Chemistry of the National Taiwan University. Xiao-Jun Wang is presently a Professor at the Department of Physics & Astronomy, Georgia Southern University.
