Pierrette Dubé trabajó durante años como traductora y al mismo tiempo escribía libros para niños. Pierrette Dubé worked for years as a translator while also writing children's books. Some of her books have won awards, including the Prix Québec/Wallonie-Bruxelles for children's literature in 2007 for the picture book Mamá está perdida, the Prix des libraires du Québec in 2015 for La petite truie, le vélo et la lune, and the Prix Peuplier from the Ontario Library Association in 2018 for Tarzanette y el rey del desayuno. Since she stopped translating, she has devoted more time to writing and meeting with children.
