A Cielo Abierto

This book is the story of Hayat, a young survivor of the massacre of Deir Yassin, a small village on the outskirts of Jerusalem. Twenty years later, that young girl, now an adult witness, speaks again of the fear and memory of everything that happened. Hayat recounts a dramatic world, a world in transformation, and the tragedy that makes her a witness, a living memory of her family, her neighbors, and a people who witnessed the violence that preceded the partition of Palestine in 1948, an event known to the Palestinian people as the Nakba, the Catastrophe.

Nace en Valladolid. Escritora, traductora y periodista. Doctora en Filología Inglesa por la Universidad de Salamanca, se especializa en Historia Contemporánea del Oriente Medio tras licenciarse en Árabe e Islam en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
