"This compilation is the result of the verbatim transcription of the discussions that took place on Zoom in March 2024, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of A Contracorriente: a journal of Latin American studies. These discussions featured four prominent Latin American writers, Pola Oloixarac (Argentina), Jorge Volpi (Mexico), Patricio Pron (Argentina), and Nona Fernandez (Chile); their interlocutors were critics Ariel Schettini, Hector Jaimes, Greg Dawes, and Maria Rosa Olivera-Williams, respectively. Scott Weintraub se doctoró por Emory University y es ahora Profesor Titular de Literatura Latinoamericana en la University of New Hampshire. Es autor o editor de más de doce libros y números especiales de revistas académicas, incluidos dos libros sobre el poeta chileno neovanguardista Juan Luis Martínez: La última broma de Juan Luis Martínez: no sólo ser otro sino escribir la obra del otro (Cuarto Propio, 2014) y Juan Luis Martínez’s Philosophical Poetics, el primer estudio en inglés sobre el poeta. Es autor también de una monografía titulada Latin American Technopoetics: Scientific Explorations in New Media (Routledge, 2018) y de un manuscrito casi completo sobre el poeta chileno Raúl Zurita. Junto con Luis Correa-Díaz editó Latin American Digital Poetics (Palgrave, 2023), La futuridad absoluta de Vicente Huidobro (Editorial A Contracorriente, 2018) y Poéticas y poesías digitales/electrónicas/tecnos/New-Media en América Latina: Definiciones y exploraciones (Bogotá: Ediciones Universidad Central, 2016) entre otros libros. Actualmente es Director de la revista académica A contracorriente: una revista de estudios latinoamericanos.
