This richly detailed biography examines the life and legacy of Cesare Borgia, the infamous son of Pope Alexander VI and a central figure in Renaissance Italy's web of intrigue, ambition, and political violence. With a balance of narrative flair and rigorous documentation, the book explores Cesare's military campaigns, statecraft, and alleged crimes while challenging exaggerated legends surrounding his name. The result is a portrait of a ruthless yet intelligent leader whose real life was as compelling as the myths it inspired.
