Eloísa, una periodista mexicana de Guanajuato caracterizada como rebelde, libre e indomable, está a punto de casarse con su amigo de la infancia cuando conoce a un hombre serbio, proveniente de una familia adinerada, llamado Darko. Juntos desarrollan una conexión pasional predestinada a pasar por una maldición que conecta a sus respectivos ancestros. Sin embargo, Darko violenta la relación y Eloísa se ve obligada a regresar a Guanajuato. Allí, descubre que está embarazada y tiene un hijo llamado Zoran, el "coyote balcánico". La historia gira en torno al reencuentro de Zoran con su padre, y al reencuentro de sus padres, Eloísa y Darko. En una historia que aparenta ser de amor romántico, termina siendo de la conexión que existe entre tu ascendencia y del perdón. ENGLISH DESCRIPTION In this story, the real protagonist is the challenge faced by a son's heart to let go of the resentment caused by his father's abandonment. Zoran returns to the Balkans in search of reconciliation with his family. Eloísa, his mother, confronts intimate and painful memories that surface amid the desert landscape of Mineral de Pozos and the alleys of Guanajuato; while on the other side of the world, on the banks of the Danube, his father Darko faces the consequences of his cruel actions and a sinister past. It is in this triangle that the memories of a love story shrouded in darkness shake their spirits. From the Bardo, their ancestors contemplate the battles between passion, guilt, compassion, rage and the deepest love that human beings can lavish on each other. Coyote Balcánico (Balkan Coyote) is a story in which the magic of forgiveness breaks down the barriers of time and immerses us in the mythology of two peoples.

Rayo Guzmán nació en Celaya, Guanajuato. Es licenciada en Comunicación, maestra en Educación y especialista en Desarrollo Humano y Tanatología. Durante más de 18 años se dedicó a la docencia y al acompañamiento en Desarrollo Humano. En 2006 obtuvo mención honorífica en el concurso literario de Editorial Demac con En mis cinco sentidos. Desde entonces escribe historias que, con su ágil narrativa, dan vida a personajes entrañables. Rayo Guzmán was born in Celaya, Guanajuato. She holds a degree in Communication, a Master's in Education, and is a specialist in Human Development and Thanatology. For over 18 years she worked in teaching and counseling. In 2006 she received an honorable mention in Demac's literary contest with En mis cinco sentidos. Since then, she has written stories that, through her agile narrative, bring to life endearing characters.
