The Neuropsychology of Degenerative Brain Diseases

This volume utilizes various neurological diseases as its organizing principle, focusing specifically on their personal, social, and cognitive consequences. In so doing, it provides neuropsychologists, clinical psychologists, and those in related disciplines with an accessible survey of the available research on the psychological functioning of patients with the various disorders. Each chapter consists of a background review of the major features of one of the diseases, including symptom pattern, neuroanatomical bases, neuropathology, genetic factors, and epidemiology.
