Rudyard Kipling was an English author, poet, and storyteller whose works include The Jungle Book, Kim, and Just So Stories. He was one of the most widely read writers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and remains especially noted for his children's literature, narrative verse, and stories shaped by oral cadence and memorable phrasing.
