RUMENA BUZAROVSKA nació en 1981 en Skopie, actual capital de Macedonia. Es profesora de Literatura Americana y Traducción en la Universidad Estatal de Skopie. Además de Toni, es autora del libro de no ficción Next to God, America (de próxima publicación en Impedimenta), así como de cuatro colecciones de relatos cortos. Entre ellas cabe destacar Mi marido (2014; Impedimenta, 2023) y No voy a ninguna parte (2023; Impedimenta, 2025). Buzarovska ha traducido al macedonio a autores como J. M. Coetzee, Lewis Carroll, Truman Capote y Flannery O'Connor.
