Darren's personal connection to the show inspired him to become the leader of the plotters. Years ago, his sister, Becky, was a victim of Check Mate. The idea of going after her assailant appeals to him, but there may be something more important for him to do.

Sallie Cochren has always loved a good story and enjoys a variety of genres. She started writing short stories and skits as a child, thinking it was a great way to spend her free time. She always wanted to write a book, but her teaching career kept her so busy that there was rarely time to write. When she retired, she finally had time to focus on her writing and fulfill her lifelong dream of writing a novel. Since then, she has published many stories and novels in a variety of genres that include fantasy, science fiction, dystopian fiction, paranormal, animal fiction and others. When she isn't writing, she enjoys watching movies, reading, going for walks in nature and listening to music. She is also an animal lover and has shared her life with both cats and dogs.
