Site of the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus in Singapore

This study analyzes key developments in colonial and postcolonial Singapore by examining the site of the former Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus. It argues that the changing roles of this site have been linked to the society’s extensive social and economic changes during its transition from a small colony to a wealthy independent city-state.
