This made his longing and desire for peace and freedom even stronger and he was determined to defend himself against such injustices. For him, arriving in Germany was like the fulfillment of a dream: Laws, freedom, democracy! The young Kurd breathed freedom for the first time in Germany.
Sereke-s story offers an interesting insight into Kurdish culture and the difficult situation of his people and is not only interesting for Kurds themselves.
