Stefan Korioth provides a comprehensive overview of German constitutional history from the Middle Ages right up to the introduction of the country's Basic Law over seventy years ago. The textbook follows the development of the written constitution from the beginning of the nineteenth century, tracking the turning points, disruptions and continuities that led Germany to becoming a modern constitutional state.
