Beschreibung

A world-class scientist. A family in peril. The world on the brink.
American scientist Dr. Michael Faris is blackmailed into creating doomsday nanotechnology, but then he races across the Middle East, China and Russia in order to avert a global catastrophe ... from the weapon he has helped make.
NANO is published on July 4, 2026, to mark the 250th Anniversary of the founding of the USA, and pays tribute to the literary cultural milestone of the Great American Novel of the 19th Century, the cinematic cultural milestone of the Hollywood Movie Blockbuster & Screenplay of the 20th Century and the innovative cultural milestone of the Global Intellectual Property (IP) Franchise of the 21st Century.
Dr. Michael Faris is the lead scientist at the Institute of Defensive Nanotechnology (IDN) in the USA. In a glass auditorium north of Los Angeles, Michael shows a room of generals how nanotech could change warfare forever. His wife, Maria, the Caltech physicist who once came first in every quantum mechanics class she took, knows that it already has. She fears for the future of the world, and for their daughter, Thena.
One day late at night at IDN, Michael receives a call from an unknown number. "We have your daughter. She is safe ... for now." Thena's been kidnapped, and Michael must now build what he knows he must not - or else.
Under investigation by UNICON, a new global intel agency, Michael races throughout the Middle East, China and Russia to find and rescue his daughter ... and save his family, and save the world, from the weapon he has helped to make.

About NANO
NANO is a global sci-fi techno-thriller with the highly contemporary theme of asymmetry: between nuclear warfare and A.I.-enabled nanotech; between the disruption of technology and the balance of humanity; between the world, its superpower states and the nuclear family; and ultimately between a man, his wife and daughter.
NANO is written by Talal Malik, CEO, Founder and Senior Writer-Producer of global media and entertainment firm, Alpha1Media. Educated at Oxford University at the same college as J. R. R. Tolkien, famed author of 'Lord of the Rings', and trained at the same prestigious writing program as Ian Fleming, famed author of 'James Bond', Talal Malik has written NANO specifically for global readers to enjoy as a cinematic page-turner in their hands.
