The Likeness

THE ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME THRILLER FROM THE MILLION-COPY, SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR
New York Times #34 best thriller of the 21st Century
'To say Tana French is one of the great thriller writers is really too limiting. Rather she's simply this: a truly great writer' GILLIAN FLYNN '[Crime fiction's] biggest contemporary star' GUARDIAN
'One of the finest writers of contemporary crime fiction' DAILY MAIL ------------------------------------------------------- She is me. And I am her. Still traumatised by her brush with a psychopath, Detective Cassie Maddox transfers out of the Murder squad and starts a relationship with fellow detective Sam O'Neill. When he calls her to the scene of his new case, she is shocked to find that the murdered girl is her doppelganger. What's more, her ID shows she is Lexie Madison - the identity Cassie used, years ago, as an undercover detective. With no leads, no suspects and no clues to Lexie's real identity, Cassie's old boss spots the opportunity of a lifetime: send Cassie undercover in her place, to tempt the killer out of hiding to finish the job. ------------------------------------------------------- Praise for the talismanic Tana French and her novels 'Creepily melding elements of Donna Tartt's The Secret History . . . The Likeness by Tana French, seduces from the start. A nifty tale of desire for belonging, as well as a cool thriller' TIME OUT 'I can do you no greater favour in life than recommending that you read her books' GUARDIAN 'The most interesting, the most important crime novelist to emerge in the last ten years' WASHINGTON POST
'The most breathtakingly brilliant and close-to-perfect thriller I've read for a long time' SOPHIE HANNAH 'I'm a big fan of Tana French' IAN RANKIN
'This is a tour de force of suspense and storytelling. Comes closer to perfection than anything I've read in the last decade' SARAH HILARY

'I didn't want it to end' HARRIET TYCE
