William Watson Goodwin (1831-1913) was Eliot Professor of Greek Literature at Harvard University. His many publications include 'A Greek Grammar,' 'Greek Reader,' 'Plutarch's Miscellanies and Essays,' and 'Selections from Xenophon and Herodotus.'
Charles Burton Gulick (1868-1962) was an American classical philologist who taught at Harvard from 1892-1937. He is known in part for his work on Athenais's Deipnosophists for the Loeb Classical Library as well as his revision William Watson Goodwin's Greek Grammar.
